Rules of Destination

I stood at the bus stop for some minutes today and watched the throng of people rushing the buses.

I observed some things and learnt lessons about life.

1. Not every one has the same destination. While some people left the bus stop early some still had to wait for their buses.

2. Not every one on the same bus have the same destination. Even though they are in the same bus some people get to their destination earlier than others.

3. The cost to get to each person’s destination is not the same. Some people pay less while some pay more.

4. People who are determined to get to their destination do not worry about the cost. People who are not determined to get to their destination ask about the cost and change their minds.

5. There may be no direct bus to your destination, so you have to be wise enough to know how to plan your journey. You may have to take detours.

6. There are a lot of people at the bus stop with no destination.

Lessons learnt:

1. Have a destination.

2. If you have not started your journey yet, do not panic. Your “bus” is yet to come.

3. If other people have arrived at their destination before you, then you have further to go.

4. If you paying more for your journey, then you have a longer way to go.

5. Find out about the cost of your journey, make up your mind to pay and get on your bus. The sooner you do this, the earlier you will arrive at your destination.

6. Avoid the loiterers at the start of your journey. They usually have no where to go and are good at delaying people who have somewhere to go.

7. Have a plan B to get to your destination if plan A fails.

8. Even if you are on a path away from your destination, be wise enough to know where to stop and reconnect with the next available bus to your destination.

These are the rules of a destination!

Have a safe journey!
